Day 9: Porto - Cascais, 16 October 2019
From here we turned back onto the autoroute for the run
into Cascais and the night halt, right on the beach, at the
magnificent Pestana Cidadela Cascais, where we were given
special permission to park the cars in the courtyard. But
not before Marcus Rowe, our very highly qualified luggage
man, had set out the drip trays to protect the cobblestones.
There was no rally dinner tonight, this is a holiday resort
and is famed for its many fish restaurants, so the crews
were sent forth into town to see what they could reel in.
Tomorrow, the last day of this first event, has a couple
of treats in store for the crews before they get to the finish
line. Estoril and Portimao no less.
