American Friends of the Hebrew University is a national,
not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. We exist
to connect the passions of Americans to the talent at the
Hebrew University of Jerusalem, one of the world’s most
distinguished academic and research institutions.
In addition to raising awareness and funds for the university,
AFHU helps the university recruit and retain outstanding
faculty, build teaching and research facilities, and provide
scholarships and fellowships. AFHU’s support helps the
university advance human understanding in a myriad of fields
including agriculture, energy, medicine, psychology and more.
Fundraising efforts provide scholarships in a matching
program and support for research programs. AFHU also

system. A leader in mass-casualty response and EMS

Iran’s nuclear and regional ambitions, and advancing peace
between Israel and its Arab neighbors. AIPAC PAC is the
largest pro-Israel PAC in the country, helping support
pro-Israel Democrats and Republicans running for Congress.

The Israel Center is Milwaukee’s connection to the people
of Israel. Sponsored by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation,
the Israel Center brings cultural and educational programs
to Milwaukee; coordinates the activities of our Shin Shins,
or young Israeli emissaries, who work in our local schools,
synagogues and other Jewish institutions; and participates
in Partnership2Gether, a program designed to cultivate
relationships by linking Milwaukee with the Sovev Kinneret
region in Israel. The Israel Center also assists individuals and
families in making aliyah and in identifying travel, volunteer, gap year and study abroad opportunities in Israel.

Israeli Folk Dance typically meets once a week at the
Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
Sessions consist of Israeli circle dances, ranging from the
classics to the newest dances from Israel. Teaching is offered
regularly and everyone is welcome to join and enjoy this
