Welcome to our Power 50 Green Champions
publication, which celebrates 50 inspiring #eventprofs who are devoting their
time and energy to making a positive impact on the planet.
The events industry is filled with proactive people who are bridging the gap
between intention and action on environmental issues, and in partnership with
isla, we are thrilled to launch the first initiative
dedicated to showcasing the changemaking achievements and success
stories of these individuals.
Entries for the Power 50 were invited from across the industry, with individuals
being self-nominated or nominated by their peers and judged and scored by a
panel of sustainability experts on their ambitions, actions and impacts. The 50
who scored the highest made it into the Power 50 Green Champions.
This Power 50 is not a ranking, or by any means a definitive list of green
champions in our industry, but an opportunity to recognise just some of the
people that are making important strides to drive sustainable change in the
events industry.
These inspirational Green Champions represent a true cross-sector of the industry, with individuals from corporates,
agencies, venues and event industry suppliers featured – and ranging from those who have recently started their careers
in the events sector, up to experienced senior leaders who are driving change from the top.
When putting together this publication, I was both amazed and inspired by the dedication of every individual to make a
difference. Not only are they achieving great things within their own businesses, but they are all proactively sharing their
knowledge with others in the industry, widening their positive impact even further.
That was one of our key reasons for launching the Power 50 – to share best practices, innovative approaches, and
success stories, creating a platform for knowledge exchange and industry-wide learning.
