RECRUIT CLASS 150, SQUAD 4 STATION VISIT
Each squad was sent to a different station with their instructor
for a two hour period
Squad 4 got Station 54. Their instructor, Conti Willcot, was bid there.
The recruits prepared breakfast, did some station duties and got a
tour of the house.
PROGRESSIVE FIREFIGHTERS ASSOC. CPR CLASS
Progressive Firefighters Association conducts a CPR class with staff at Cox Media.
Personalities from Hot 105, Easy 93.1 and 99-JAMZ got hands on training with adult and infant simulators, as well as AEDs.
MDFR K-9 FOUNDATION WORKSHOP
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue is a leader in the field of crisis response K-9s. This week, MDFR’s Rescue K-9 Foundation was
conducting a workshop at the Fire Rescue Training Center to expand the knowledge base of first responder K-9 programs.
Representatives of fire departments and law enforcement agencies attended this seminar in the hopes of developing their
own programs similar to the one used by MDFR. Positive-based K-9 training skills , K-9 first aid, CPR, PTSD, and the
first responder K-9 are among the topics being discussed.
