First Responder Resiliency Foundation
We exist to make sure your call for help never goes
unanswered. When you or a fellow brother or sister is
struggling or in crisis, you will have access to a number
that is answered 24/7 and completely conodential. The
number above will have forwarding to MDFR Mental
Health Divisions, to third party institutions with no afoliation
to the union or MDFR, and to Command Counseling who
the union has teamed up with to make sure you connect
with the best clinicians within 24 hours of calling.

MDFR Chaplaincy
The MDFR Chaplaincy Program has evolved from a highly
respected ceremonial position to an intrinsic component
of the Departments emotional, psychological and spiritual
wellness programs.
The MDFR Chaplain list is located in MDFR intranet under
the MDFR Employee Support Ofoce section.

MDFR Employee Wellness Ofoce
If you are struggling with substance abuse and you just
don9t know where to turn, I am the person who can help you
anonymously. I help you utilize article 19.9 which states if
you come to me voluntarily, I can get your time covered
should you need to go to a 30-day treatment facility. I am
also on the I.A.F.F Peer support team and available if it is
just to talk.
The MDFR Employee Wellness Ofoce is a component of the Health
and Safety Division which is tasked with developing and overseeing
supportive outreach programs for MDFR professional staff and all
oreoghters, regardless of rank. Our stated purpose is the improvement
of all MDFR employees9 mental health through the continuing operation
and development of innovative programs (MDFR Peer Support/CISM,
Peer Chaplaincy and Crisis Response K-9), and through an ongoing
partnership with Local 1403. We also incorporate vetted community
partnerships and clinicians as resources for our members and their
families. All conversations and interactions are fully conodential. If
