CITY OF MIAMI VETERANS DAY PARADE
Local 1403 members were out in force with Treena Wright’s
Geared Up For Fire unit marching down Grand Avenue to
Armbrister Park in the West Grove.
BROTHERHOOD RIDE
The 600-mile Brotherhood ride stopped at the Fire Rescue
Training Center to pay homage to Capt. Paul Gurdak, one of 14
honorees during this year’s 600 mile ride.
Paul Gurdak passed away on New Year’s Eve following a long
bout with cancer attributed to exposure at Ground Zero in 2001.
Paul’s son Kenny accepted a plaque from the Brotherhood
Ride, which began in Naples on October 22 and ended in Live
Oak on October 29.
