MDFR Employee Wellness Of昀椀ce
If you are struggling with substance abuse and you just
don’t know where to turn, I am the person who can help you
anonymously. I help you utilize article 19.9 which states if
you come to me voluntarily, I can get your time covered
should you need to go to a 30-day treatment facility. I am
also on the I.A.F.F Peer support team and available if it is
just to talk.
The MDFR Employee Wellness Of昀椀ce is a component of the Health
and Safety Division which is tasked with developing and overseeing
supportive outreach programs for MDFR professional staff and all
昀椀re昀椀ghters, regardless of rank. Our stated purpose is the improvement
of all MDFR employees’ mental health through the continuing operation
and development of innovative programs (MDFR Peer Support/CISM,
Peer Chaplaincy and Crisis Response K-9), and through an ongoing
partnership with Local 1403. We also incorporate vetted community
partnerships and clinicians as resources for our members and their
families. All conversations and interactions are fully con昀椀dential. If
you or someone you know is in need of assistance, contact any of the
