Fund Raising for Schools and Support for Education
Our offices and facilities around the globe have donated school supplies and other materials to help
support local schools and needy children.
Through Mercuria’s Office in Jakarta, Indonesia and the operations in PT KEL, we helped support the
local rural schools by supporting a school shuttle bus, providing scholarships for outstanding students, allowances for honorary teachers and assistance for adult education training.
Pictured below, employees from Mercuria’s Houston Office participated in DePelchin Children’s Center
(DePelchin) and the Houston Independent School District’s Back to School Drive on August 15, 2019 by
raising more than a thousand dollars and collecting school supplies for local schoolchildren.
Small Steps
On December 7, 2019 Mercuria Houston employees delivered turkeys to Small Steps Nurturing Center to benefit families of the students who attend the school. Small
Steps provides high-quality educational, social and emotional support as well as transportation and nutritious
meals to economically at-risk children
ages two through six living in the Fifth
Ward and surrounding areas of inner-city
Houston, Texas.
