During 2019 there were some incidents of spills, minor fires and events resulting in equipment damage
as related to the operations of some of our BU’s. In all instances, our first attention was to the welfare of
our employees and the surrounding communities. Following this, all necessary and appropriate actions
to contain, minimize and subsequently mitigate any damage that might be caused by these events was
undertaken. With the response and follow up actions taken, we are pleased to report that there were no
incidents during 2019 which will have any significant or long lasting impact or concern.

As a part of Mercuria’s existing program, a formal follow-up root-cause evaluation was conducted for
events that were either assessed to be serious or potentially serious; generally consistent with threshold
magnitudes of the local authorities. Additional details concerning each of our areas of operations are
included with the specifics of each asset’s industrial focus and geographic domain as presented in the
“Our Assets” section earlier in this document.
