CSR Mercuria 2019 - Flipbook - Page 11
With over 1150 employees operating in over 50
countries and in an industry of such importance
to all we have a role to play in ensuring responsible practices in the supply chain. We are constantly evolving our policies, practices and due
diligences to help us to achieve our goals in relation our commitment to Agenda 2030.
We have re-structured some of our management
oversight to provide for a broader and more targeted oversight of our activities and as part of
this we launched our Compliance and Business
Ethics Committee and our Environment, Health,
Safety and Security Committee. Through these
committees we are able to ensure a broad spectrum of experience and knowledge looking over
these aspects of our business.
As you will see from this report we have begun
this year to track additional KPIs, including our
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions, and so are
able to offer you more transparency over our activities. We recognize we have further work to do
on these metrics but have made progress from
where we were last year.
As part of our Agenda 2030 programme at Mercuria we launched our Green and Sustainable
Purchasing Policy and our Office Sustainability Guidelines. We are working to put in place
changes in our offices around the world.
We continue to work with all of our stakeholders on how we can progress our commitment to
Agenda 2030. This engagement is crucial to us
to ensure we fully understand issues from different perspectives and to help us to progress our
future developments.
