SPECIALIZED HSE RELATED TRAINING
In addition to the above general provisions, all
operating companies have additional general
and specialized HSE related training. The specifics vary somewhat based on the character of
the Entity’s operations, but the topics broadly include:
• Accident / Incident Investigation
• Medical and First Aid (Injury & Illness Recordkeeping & Reporting Programs, Tracking & Reporting of Safety Related events (including Nearmiss events or observations)
• Trenching and Excavation
• Lockout- Tag Out Programs (Control of Hazardous Energy) / Work-area access control
• Industrial Hygiene / Blood borne Pathogens /
Foodborne Disease
• Audiometric monitoring / Noise exposure
• Heat/cold exposure
• Machine Guarding and Electrical safety
• Vehicle operations / backing
• Work permitting / Classified Areas / Hot-work
permits
• Oversight / review / training by a Competent
Person
• Crane, derrick, and hoist safety - Critical lifting
• PPE, Head, Eye and Face Protection, Hand Protection, Foot Protection
• Respiratory Protection / Carbon Monoxide Poi-

The extent of training provided to each individual will be dependent upon the individual worker’s
job duties, their experience and the type of facility and operations. For all operating companies
training is provided for new hires, and as individuals are given new job assignments. Refresher
training is also given at appropriate intervals, typically annually.
