RESPONSIBILITY
Mercuria is more than a business; we are part
of society. It is our goal to operate openly and
in harmony within the communities in which we
work and trade.
CHARITY SPONSORSHIP
Mercuria supports a range of charitable social
programmes and events. In general, our focus is
on projects that help children and contribute to
building a better future for communities.
BuildOn
In Haiti, as well as in their other international locations, Mercuria supports the efforts of BuildOn, an US-based nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy,
and low expectations through service and education. Mercuria’s participation, led by employee
Andrea Valerio, successfully built one full school
in Arniquet, in the South West of Haiti, which will
host 140 children in 3 classrooms, and also provides afternoon and night literacy courses to local adults.
North American Community Outreach Program
In support of the Mercuria North America Community Outreach Program, employees at Mercuria donated school supplies and financial
contributions in an effort to raise supplies and
funds for youth at community schools. Mercuria offices in San Antonio and Houston, Texas,
Denver, Colorado, Billings, Montana, Greenwich,
Connecticut and Calgary, Canada partnered with
local community organizations to raise the funds
and supplies. Local partner organizations included the RiverStone Health Foundation, Communities in Schools, the Boys & Girls Clubs, and the
Calgary Board of Education.
DePelchin Children’s Center
Mercuria participated in the DePelchin Children’s
Center Holiday Project. Mercuria and its
employees provided Christmas gifts for
children in need. DePelchin Children’s Center
is the leading center in Texas for chil-dren’s
well-being, with a focus on mental health, foster
care, and adoption services.
