Enjoy a wonderful day out to historic Ironbridge, where the
iconic monument symbolizes the birthplace of the
Industrial Revolution. After free time to stroll around the
charming shops, perhaps take a riverside walk and enjoy
lunch at leisure, we head to nearby Blists Hill Victorian
Village, a fantastic outdoor museum where staff dress in
period costume. Visit Victorian shops and cottages, taste
authentic food & sweets, and join craftspeople
demonstrating their trades in a recreated working town, as
well as exchanging your modern money for pounds,
shillings, and pence.

This morning we travel to Cumbria arriving at the historic
market town of Appleby with some free time for lunch and
exploring. This afternoon is the highlight of our trip as we
enjoy a journey on the famous Settle to Carlisle railway line,
joining the daily diesel passenger service at Appleby and
travelling through the picturesque countryside to Settle.
This journey is renowned as one of the most scenic in the
country travelling through spectacular scenery and across
iconic structures such as the Ribblehead Viaduct,
measuring 104 metres high, with 24 arches. We return
home by coach.
