Folkstone - Coastal Gems
Delight in a stay at the BW Plus Burlington Hotel in Folkestone. Nestled by the Leas
Promenade, it offers stunning sea views and easy access to the beach. Explore charming
local shops, savour fresh seafood, and take a stroll along the picturesque coastline. Relax
in elegant comfort, experiencing the best of seaside charm.
Day 1 - Travel to Kent for a 4-night stay.
Day 2 - Today we start with a scenic drive to
Margate, home to a thriving artistic
community and setting for many film
locations. After exploring Margate, we have
a short visit to Deal, a charming coastal town
with a rich maritime history. Then, we head
back towards the famous White Cliffs of
Dover to return to our hotel for the evening.
Day 3 - Discover the historic Cinque Port of
Hythe, from its lovely promenade to its
unique high street shops. Afterward, we hop
on board for a nostalgic journey aboard the
‘Kent’s Mainline in Miniature’ steam railway, a
delightful experience.
Day 4 - Today we venture to the historic city
of Canterbury, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
known for its stunning cathedral. You'll have
plenty of time to explore the city at your own
pace, visiting the cathedral and other
attractions.
Day 5 - Sadly, we leave Kent today, filled with
wonderful memories, and make our drive
back home.
Shrewsbury & Welsh Borders
Explore Shrewsbury's charm from the comfort of Mercure Albrighton Hall. Wander
cobblestone streets, discovering Tudor architecture and quaint shops. Savour local
delicacies at cosy cafes and riverside restaurants. Immerse in history at Shrewsbury Castle
and the Abbey. Return to the hotel's tranquil grounds and unwind in the spa.
Day 1 - Outward journey making our way to
Shrewsbury for a 4 night stay.
Day 2 - Today we have a 40 minute relaxing
cruise along the River Severn with tea/coffee
and biscuits served on board before having
time to explore this lovely town.
Day 3 - Crossing the border today into Wales
and explore the picturesque town of
Llangollen with the River Dee running
through its heart.
Experience the peace and tranquillity of an
included horse drawn canal boat trip along

time in Llangollen before making our way
back in time through the Dee Valley on the
Llangollen railway.
Day 4 - Today we visit the historic market
town of Ludlow - Free time here and a firm
favourite with our passengers.
Day 5 - Homeward bound today as we
embark on our journey back home with
suitable stops and a nice lunch stop
included.
