Our Scarborough Summer Weekenders are a great
value break over a long weekend. Based at a great
hotel in Scarborough we have also included day
excursions.
Day 1: Mid-morning departure stopping in York for
lunch.
Day 2: A pleasant drive out to Whitby, steeped in
history, there are many visitor attractions.
Overlooked by the enchanting Abbey this great
昀椀shing town has a lot to offer. Plenty of free time
to explore will be provided.
Day 3: Morning drive across the North Yorkshire
moors calling at Thornton le Dale and Pickering.
The afternoon is free at leisure in Scarborough.
Day 4: After our included breakfast we depart our
hotel for home but 昀椀rst we stop at the popular
town of Skipton, arriving home late afternoon.

Day 1: Outward journey with a suitable stop for
lunch.
Day 2: Our excursion takes us to Pickering. Packed
with popular tourist destinations, independent
shops and markets, and beautiful historic and
natural attractions, Pickering is a bustling and
vibrant market town set at the edge of the
majestic North York Moors. Then we experience
the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, to Whitby. One
of the world’s greatest railway experiences. Climb
on board a heritage steam or diesel train and
experience 24 miles of Yorkshire’s amazing
scenery in the Autumn.
Day 3: Our excursion takes us 昀椀rst to Beverley.
Voted one of the best places to live in the UK.
Beverley is also one of Yorkshire’s best-kept
secrets, afterwards it's onto Bridlington, with
glorious clean beaches, history galore,
independent shops and amazing nature.
Bridlington’s pre-Roman harbour is a must-see.
Day 4: Free day in Scarborough.
Day 5: Sadly we leave the Red Lea Hotel for our
journey home with suitable stops en route, and a
possible stop at Skipton.
