Day 1: Travel to Torquay for a 4-night stay.
Day 2: Excursion to the historic maritime city of
Plymouth, famous for Sir Frances Drake, who
昀椀nished a game of bowls on Plymouth Hoe before
heading out to sea and defeating the Spanish
Armada. Return on a picturesque journey through
the heart of the Dartmoor National Park, famous
for its ponies and stunning scenery.
Day 3: We head to Paignton to board a steam train
along a stunning stretch of coastline to Kingswear,
from where you catch the foot passenger ferry to
the historic maritime town of Dartmouth, with its
ancient narrow streets, boutique shops and art
galleries. In the afternoon, we enjoy spectacular
views of castles, the Britannia Royal Naval College,

Sir Walter Raleigh’s Boathouse, Greenway Quay
and the estate of the late Dame Agatha Christie on
a one-hour circular harbour/river cruise from
Dartmouth or continue to the historic town of
Totnes.
