2023 was a very active year for our club. Several of our members had success across shows and sales.
While attendance at meetings has seen a gradual increase.

Herds Competition
Our club was delighted to welcome Callum Croft and Lizzie Harding across the water to judge our
2023 herds competition. Our primary goal for this Club activity was to engage members both new and
old to showcase their stock while also encouraging them to get involved with our club proceedings
and activities.
Callum thanked all of the herds involved for giving up their time to showcase their cattle which were a
credit to everyone involved. He also commented about the difficulty in judging some classes.
In total, 15 herds competed. This culminated in both new herds picking up their first rosettes and
longer established herds adding to their already impressive trophy cabinets. With a lot of different
winners, the results can be seen on our newly created Facebook page (Irish Simmental Club SE)! The
following were the overall small, medium, and large herd winners.
