Obituaries
VAL CUSSEN
I
n March 2022, Val Cussen from of Glenduff, Broadford, Co. Limerick
died suddenly. Val was a family man who loved farming and
traditional music.
Val established the Glenduff Pedigree Simmental Herd in the early
2000’s and enjoyed showing his Simmental cattle and meeting his many
friends at local shows. Val was a very active member of the Southwest
Simmental Club right up until his passing and always brought a different
perspective to discussions at Club meetings.
Traditional music was a passion for Val and a good music session
shortened many a night for those in his company. Val was very proud of
the fact that both his children (8) and grandchildren (23) shared his love
for both music and farming.
Described by all who knew him as a “gentleman”, Val will be sadly missed
but never forgotten.
