MISSION
The Economic and Community Development Department’s (ECDD)
mission is to stimulate economic vitality by strengthening
neighborhoods, building partnerships, and fostering public and
private investments in the community.
Macon-Bibb County Economic and Community Development Department receives
and manages a direct allocation from the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development for the Community Development Block Grant, the Emergency
Solutions Grant, and the HOME Investment Partnership program.* These funds are
distributed annually to community partners in Macon-Bibb County through a formal
application process. Anyone interested in applying for assistance should contact the
Macon-Bibb County Economic and Community Development Department.
