We would like to recognize the Honors, Achievements and Milestones of Mama
Louise. We also recognize the love and respect she consistently exemplified
when interacting with people from all walks of life.

Along with her late cousin and godmother, Inez Hill, opened their still
renowned eatery on Forsyth Street in 1959. They fashioned its now iconic
name simply enough, using the initials of their last names H and H
•
Mercer University Honored – Standing on Their Shoulders A Celebration of
the Wisdom of African American Women 3-27-99.

Provided catering to former Presidents’ Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and to
Ron Brown (former Secretary of Commerce).

In 2007, Oprah Winfred visited H&H and interacted with both Mama Louise
and MS Hill.
