Continued technology upgrades, featuring a device for every student
Security upgrades (secure vestibules, cameras and locking systems)
Renovation of Thompson Stadium, including a new turf, video scoreboard,
additional parking and seating
New buildings, including Springdale Elementary, John R. Lewis Elementary, Appling
Middle School and Northeast High School; renovations throughout the entire district,
most recently at Ingram-Pye Elementary, Heritage Elementary, Weaver Middle,
Miller Middle, Howard Middle/High, Rutland Middle/High
Completion of Auditoriums or Performing Arts Centers at all Bibb high schools
Macon-Bibb County voters approved the renewal of the Education Special Purpose Local
Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST) by more than 75 percent. The ESPLOST is a one percent sales
tax used to improve security, facilities, technology and transportation for
Bibb County Public Schools, which benefits our students, teachers and entire community.
