additional Full Fibre programmes such as Fibre
Cities.

ONSA is set to replace the existing Network
Extension and Maintenance Activities (NEMSA).
Over the coming weeks, Morrison Telecom
Services will be engaging with Openreach to
agree transition plans to close the NEMSA
work and pursue new the ONSA framework.
R100 Contract Win
Morrison Telecom Services has been
awarded a multi-year contract worth
£160m by Openreach to deliver highspeed broadband to all Scotland homes.
R100 is a commitment made by the Scottish
Government to enable all homes and
businesses access to superfast broadband,
of 30 Megabits per second (Mbps).
Morrison Telecom Services has been
tasked with the delivery of this service to all
remaining properties in Scotland.
The contract, worth £40m per annum, will see
four years of work to install essential Fibre-tothe-Property (FTTP) and Fibre-to-the-Cabinet
(FTTC) infrastructure across Central and
Southern Scotland – including Perth, Glasgow,
Edinburgh and Dumfries.
Under the terms of the agreement, Morrison
Telecom Services will deliver up to 500 FTTC
DSLAM structures and 6,000 Passive Optical
Networks (PONs). The programme of work
across the two regions will encompass 61,000
total homes passed (THP) for FTTP, 2,500km of
spine cabling and almost 10,000 km of access
cabling.

relationship with Openreach.
“This project will deliver Full Fibre to some
of the most challenging premises in the UK,
as the Scottish Government strives for its
goal of access to superfast broadband to all
properties.”

Surveying works begin in the New Year with
the start of the build to take place by the end of
March 2020.
