Avonline
team praised for
community project...
An Avonline team working on behalf of Virgin Media in Llanelli,
South Wales, has been praised for supporting a project to
upgrade gardens at Hoel Goffa, a special needs school
for children who have learning difficulties.
Caroline Davies, Virgin Media Regional
Community Liaison & Wayleave Officer
– South Wales contacted Avonline’s
Business Services Director Trevor
Thomas and Delivery Manager
Richard Scannell to thank the team.
Caroline commented: “A massive
thank you to Avonline for your help
and support. Your kind and generous
donation of supplies and Richard’s backbreaking hard work ensured that I was
able to deliver on the promise I made to
the school to make two outside areas
safe and pleasant for the children to
use. To say the school is thrilled with the
result is an understatement and I have
received numerous messages of thanks
from the Head and teachers already.
As you experience first-hand, our
presence during build time is not
always welcome and to be able to do
something like this is not only great
for our brands but gives a welcome
distraction from the occasional negative
feedback we get. Once again, thanks so
much for your support – here’s to
the next venture.
The school was clearly very thankful for
the team’s hard work, commenting: “All
the help and hard work means that the
gardens at Hoel Goffa now look
wonderful and are ready for the summer.
We have lots of new plants and it will be
a lovely place for us to spend time in
over the coming months. Thank you!”
Praise for Magdalene’s project
Anthony Ralph at Telefonica has praised the Magdalene I&C team, Clerk of
Works and project team for TEF Ad Hoc for the completion of the CD44950
AXD End of Life Project.
Anthony commented: “A big thank you to everyone at Magdalene who contributed to this
successful recovery project. The project was on time, to the required quality, with all QAs
passed first time and, most importantly, with no impact to O2 and its customers.
