takes steps to raise money for charity
For the last four years I and my wife, who is the Lead Carer Champion
for Stevenage GP Surgeries, have taken part in an annual walk to raise
awareness for Carers.
The walk is organised by Norman Phillips, who is himself a carer for his wife
and mother.
The walk was led by the Mayor of Stevenage Simon Speller and various
other organisations and carers.
The theme was ‘Get Carers Connected’, so we dressed as mobile phones.
On the first lap, everyone was joined together by a long piece of red ribbon.
So far over £1,000 has been raised for this year’s charity Carers UK!
