Magdalene secures
CenturyLink as new client
Magdalene has secured a
project with a new client,
CenturyLink, to install OEM
chassis in its 22-site optical network ring based
from Sheffield up to Edinburgh.
The project will be delivered by the Magdalene
project management office optical team
and internal engineers and will include the
installation of kit, proving the fibres and 100G
ethernet network testing.
CenturyLink is a global networking company
with a strong focus on the UK, its regional hub
for Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The
company helps clients to manage increased
network, cloud and IT complexity and provides
managed network and cyber security solutions
to help them protect their business.

Ansell commented: “We are delighted to have
secured this first project with CenturyLink.
This investment will provide additional capacity
for CenturyLink in advance of new customer
growth and a future migration. It also provides
an opportunity for Magdalene to demonstrate
the quality and capability of our people. This
is the first of a number of projects that we are
aiming to secure over the coming 12 months.”
CenturyLink covers approximately 35,000
intercity and metro route miles, as well as
connectivity to over 350 on-net data centres
and third-party facilities in EMEA, with
over 100 owned datacentres and
co-location facilities.
