RENAISSANCE
FAIR
The Louisiana Renaissance Festival is held every year on the weekends
for all of November and half of December. The Festival is in Hammond,
an hour from LSU, and is the high point of the fall for many LSU students
and Louisiana Residents alike. The Festival has a wide array of food and
drink offerings, from the beloved Turkey Legs to Tasty funnel cake. Every
weekend there are different shows. The Falconry Show, Jacques Ze
Whipper, The Acadian Circus, and Shakespeare Approves are just a few of
the shows audiences love and return to every year. The fair also allows for
quite a bit of shopping. From buying corsets, fairy wings, and crowns to
buying historically accurate swords, shields, and armor, visitors are likely
to leave having purchased one thing. With themed weekends like Viking,
Pirate, and Myths & Magic, there is always something to look forward to.
