Each year, the Panhellenic Council hosts various events for sororities and
fraternities to engage in with the student body, as well as competing against
each other. Taking place during the presence of Homecoming, a crucial part
to the week involves each sorority competing for the best pomp board.
Pomping boards revolve around the bonding of sisterhood while gluing
different colored pom poms to a wooden board, which is later lifted by each
sorority’s respective fraternity. This year’s theme was highlighting the sports
teams’ accolades from the most recent season. Zeta Tau Alpha and Alpha Tau
Omega took home the gold with an impressive championship mural that
featured the Baseball and Women’s Basketball National Championships from
the 2023 season. With a tough fight, Tri Delta and Phi Gamma Delta came in
second place, along with a third place finish from Delta Zeta and Sigma Nu.
