During Spring 2024, LSU announced that FUEL, an organization
focused on the transition to clean energy, received a $160
million grant from the National Science Foundation. FUEL is an
organization Led by LSU composed of companies and institutions
working to improve the energy industry and include Louisiana in
the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. This grant would
allow for research and action to be taken to help the energy
industry and Louisiana aid the energy transition.
