Founded in 2019, Tiger Prison Project is a student-led organization
dedicated to educating others on the prison system, advocating for
those affected by the system, and mobilizing LSU students to become
advocates for prison reform. Together, these dedications form our motto:
“Educate, Advocate, Mobilize”. Since its inception, TPP has worked closely
with Louisiana Parole Project, a non-profit organization that helps the
formerly incarcerated rebuild their lives. Members connect with their
clients to help them with challenges like technological literacy and
resume-building. As TPP evolves, it continues to engage students with
important perspectives on an issue that is often ignored.
