ARATHON
Dance marathon is an
organization that raises
funds to support cancer
patients at Children’s
Miracle Network Hospitals.
This organization creates
small events throughout
the school year and one
large event in the spring to
donate money. The main
event holds a 12-hour dance
in April that allows students
and families to dance and
spread awareness to the
community. LSU’s chapter
has raised over $1.7 million
since 2013 and $214,000 this
past year. The donations
made at Our Lady of the
Lake serve at least 100,000
children a year.
