Mayor’s Welcome
Welcome to the Autumn
edi?on of the Peterlee
magazine!
The weather has been
quite lovely over the
summer it's such a shame
that some families weren't
able to go on their booked
holidays here and abroad
as planned.
I was over the moon to see
the isolaTon restricTons
removed and a lot of
businesses able to resume
their busy daily lives.
In some places safety
measures are sTll being
implemented for example hospitals, doctors and care
homes but I'm sure you all understand the reason why.
We have to protect our elderly our vulnerable and unwell
people, wear your masks if you feel protected, you have
the freedom to choose.
Our children start back into a new academic year and they
all move up a Term, they grow up so quickly.
We will go into Autumn soon, my favourite season of the
year, when all the trees change colour. We are so lucky we
have Castle Eden Dene on our doorstep.
It was such a shame The Peterlee Show had to be
cancelled, but we can look forward to the Firework
Display, in November (safety measures in place)
In closing, take care of your families each other and always
check on elderly neighbours
Kind regards,
Mary Cartwright
