Lovely!
Every year Peterlee Town Council are
thrilled to host and judge our annual
garden compe??on ‘Peterlee in
Bloom’. The compe??on has been
held for over 30years now and
boasts some of Peterlee’s $nest
gardens. If you’re a proud
gardener yourself then keep your
eyes peeled next year and be
sure to enter.
Over the past year, with so many
places closed during the
pandemic, many of us have
discovered the pleasure of
gardening, while others have been
at it for years. IrrespecTve of a
pandemic, we sTll wanted to
celebrate the achievements of our
greenHIngered community by holding
the compeTTon. However, this year
due to covid, it had to be done a li+le
di6erently. The council agreed to hold
a virtual compeTTon with three
categories for entry; these included ‘the
best hanging basket’, ‘the best
container’ and ‘the best use of a
recycled item’. Candidates who entered
were asked to send in photos of their
displays so judging could take place. We
were overwhelmed at the number of
entries received this year, all of which
were fantasTc, making our judges job
that li+le bit harder. Overall a huge
success!
We are pleased to share the winning
photos which wow’ d our judges with
you and we hope you can enjoy them
as much as we did.
