The second edition is now available, it was launched in October 2023. I was delighted to participate in this
second edition. Presented here is expert guidance on evidenced-based clinical procedures, in the main
written by staff at GOSH. It is a thoroughly updated guide that demonstrates each procedure, explains the
underlying theory and evidence, and speaks to the unique challenges of working with children and young
people. It is aimed at all nurses, and every clinical unit at GOSH should have their own copy. My co-editors,
Liz and Janet, and I are now ready to pass this baton over, I will not deny it9s a challenge, are you up for
editing a text-book?
