MONTH 6 | LEADERSHIP AND SOFT SKILLS
DEVELOPMENT
Month 6 Goal: Develop the mentee's leadership and interpersonal
skills through discussions on communication, teamwork, and
problem-solving, supported by targeted resources or participation
in workshops and webinars.
Activity: Mentor and mentee discuss the importance of leadership and soft
skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. The mentor
shares resources or invites the mentee to a workshop or webinar on these
topics.
Outcome: Mentee begins to develop key leadership and interpersonal skills.
Mentee
Reflect on current leadership and soft
skills (LSS), identifying strengths and
areas for improvement, and compile a
list of specific challenges to discuss
with the mentor (see example). Submit
the challenges document.
Meet with mentor and seek actionable
advice.
Attend the recommended workshop,
webinar, or training session, taking
notes on key takeaways.
Implement the skills learned in daily
work.
Schedule next meeting.
