My perspective has always been that
Brynlee's special traits are what make her
extraordinary. It was never about fitting her
into a predefined box, especially when
there hasn't been enough research to fully
understand her needs. Instead, it was about
embracing her for who she is and
celebrating her individuality.
A recent conversation with Jennifer, the
Founder of Lady Rebel Club® and WE
ROAR Magazine, inspired me to advocate
for more dialogues between parents of
neurodivergent
children
and
neurodivergent adults. We discussed the
importance of diagnoses and how they can
serve different purposes. For some, a
diagnosis is crucial for finding the right
medication to manage symptoms. For
others, it helps people see them as they
truly are, especially when others struggle
to understand them without a label. This
conversation reinforced my belief that
while a diagnosis can be important, it is not
the defining factor of a person's worth or
identity.
Together,
through
these
conversations, we can solve more than we
can apart.

My own journey of discovering that I am
neurodivergent in my 20s has been eyeopening. Even now, I am still learning about
the various neurodivergencies I may have.
This personal experience has fueled my
excitement about the future of innovation
and technology. The rapid advancements in
research and the ability to spread
information faster than ever before hold the
promise of creating a better future for
myself, my daughters, and future
generations.
