A Chat with A FIGHTER
Being able to defy the expectations
that people have of me...
For those who may not know who you are, can you tell
them a bit about yourself and how you got started in
entrepreneurship?
I became an entrepreneur almost through no choice of my
own. I trained in human rights law and was passionate
about pursuing this as a career, however when I entered
the sector it was incredibly inaccessible, without any
understanding of Disability, I felt pushed out and unable
to get back in. I was working myself into the ground and it
destroyed me, I ended up bed-bound for over a year
because I had pushed too hard. When I was sat in my bed
wondering how I was going to figure things out, I decided
that if the world wouldn9t take me as I am, I was going to
have to create it for myself and do it for myself. This most
devastating situation where I felt like I had lost everything
I had worked for, turned into the best moment of my life.
