1. Conduct a DEI Audit
Examine existing policies, procedures, and the workplace in general.
2. Set Clear Objectives
Have concrete diversity and inclusion metrics to be met.
3. Provide Ongoing Training
Schedule regular trainings on unintentional biases, cultural fluency and
leading inclusively.
4. Foster Open Dialogue
Give employees safe environments to speak about their experiences and
offer input concerning DEI-related programs.
5. Hold Leadership Accountable
Make sure that senior officers are accountable for the DEI objectives and the
strategies for achieving them.
Metrics and Analytics
Explain why it’s important to utilize any metrics and analytics in driving DEI
initiatives. Emphasize some of the metrics that an organization should
monitor which may include diversity ratios, employee satisfaction scores,
and the turnover rates.
