person. But it's talking about things like
exclusion. Well, the 1.3 to 1.7 billion people
with disabilities, we're not 100% excluded.
We're only partially excluded and partial
exclusion is very painful because you almost
think you're about to be included. And then, of
course, they take that right away from you to
make sure you understand you are definitely a
fourth, fifth, or sixth class citizen.
The reality is... I have worked with corporate
brands and I appreciate many of them. I
thought, oh, gosh, maybe if we could solve it at
the corporate level, if we could convince the
corporations to employ us, to include us, to hire
us... we're your vendors, we're your investors.
And by the way, we did do all that. We pretty
much convinced them they should do this, and
then... nobody can find us!
Our community will not come out with pride
because once again, if you have a disability,
you're broken. And so we are not discoverable
for the employers that we bullied into including
us. In the States, we did that... we sued them!
And so I would say to any person... this is the
time to be brave.. This is the time to help. Join
our movement. Join Jennifer's movement. Don't
sit around complaining. It's not doing us any
good... we’ve got to be part of a solution.
