Why did you feel it necessary to make
body confidence the core of your
work, and what are some things
you've learned along the way?
"Business owners need to create a
body-positive, inclusive and diverse
business so that they, in turn, can
help their clients feel good from the
inside. There is a massive issue with
eating disorders, mental health
problems, low self-esteem, and
confidence, all linked to our bodies,
that is being perpetuated by the
beauty industry that makes money
from our insecurities. I believe we can
continue to run profitable businesses
with better ethics and, collectively,
can make a huge change in how
people understand their bodies and
feel about them that isn't focused
purely on changing them.

"I want to create a world where
everyone feels seen and valued. To
set an example to my kids that
nothing is impossible, to show them
to raise their voice and disrupt the
world if they see a way to help!"
One thing that Amy says she's
learned along the way is that the
mission outweighs the difficulty and
that there is, for sure, a lesson to
learn from everything that seems
complicated. She also says that it's
super important to understand your
motivation and mission, to find a
good mentor and community who
believe in you and what you're aiming
to do and that it's okay if some
people will not "get" what you're
doing or why you're doing it.
She stresses that some people won't
understand entrepreneurship either,
and that's okay. It is only for some,
and having much sticking power is
needed.
