Choose from activities in both areas
that are impactful and that you enjoy
doing to maximise your efforts and
make it feel magical for you.
Have backup plans for backup plans.
It’s easy for us to get derailed when
things don’t go as planned the first
time. Are you planning to go for an
outdoor walk? Have the plan to move
along to a dance video or an online
class instead if the weather isn’t
good.
Please be sure to give yourself grace. While you want to make steady progress,
exercising for a shorter time or pausing when you have an injury may be more
beneficial long term. Life happens, and your goals should always be something
other than your stumbling blocks.
Get a buddy, coach or mentor who will give you the right push, sound advice
and grace. Any task is more straightforward or lighter with the company. This
also works exceptionally well for persons with executive dysfunction or when
you need extra motivation to get started or keep going. Having more than one
is also a good idea because life can happen for your wellness buddy too!
