What inspired this collection?
"I started OYE Collection in response to a
need I identified in the Women's
Community. Over many years, and due to
my extrovert nature, I have had the great
pleasure of speaking with and getting to
know many women. Many of them are
doing some amazing things in their various
roles and the many hats they wear. They
are doing so phenomenally that when I
hear about how they are "rocking it" in
their world, I am in awe, and all I see is so
much Beauty, Courage, and Fierceness.
Unfortunately, I kept seeing those unique
qualities in the women, but the women
themselves did not see what I saw in them.
"They sounded unsure about themselves,
their abilities, and how amazing they are.
That, to me, was a significant problem that
needed to be fixed! That was how OYE
Collection came about. I wanted to use
fashion as a platform to remind Women
about how AMAZING they are. I tried to
use the beautiful, bold, and colorful prints
of Africa to symbolize the Beauty and
Fierceness I see when I see a Woman.

Director for OYE Collection, a luxury
African-Inspired modern fashion line.
By Profession, Dr Nike is a Doctor of
Nursing Practice and has practised in
various
clinical,
academic,
and
healthcare policy settings. Her faith in
God, her love for fashion, and her
passion for inspiring and empowering
women worldwide led to the OYE
Collection's inception. This brand was
created not only to help beautify
women but also to serve as a platform
to help "UNLEASH THE FIERCENESS
WITHIN" every woman!
