Make email headers and subjects
correctly reflect the content of the email.
Make all of your communications
specific.
Appreciate that some people will need
help with time estimations.
Prepare information in bullet points and
break it up into more digestible chunks
with a precise order.
Keep meetings, calls and written
communication brief as possible.
Leave "chatty" sessions to the end of a
meeting when others who may not
want to chat can leave.
If you offer help, please wait for it to be
accepted before acting.
Please always ask before you help.
Speak directly and use explicit
language.
Do your best to wait for the other
person to finish speaking before you
speak. For some of us, especially if
ADHD, this may need to be practised
and is a skill you can build up.
Use pronouns on your Zoom/video
calling name and other places so others
know how to address you.
Do your best to use the chosen
pronouns of others, too.
Please don't assume someone who
talks over you or interrupts is rude. They
may be very excited by what you're
saying.
Use Camel Case when using hashtags
such as #NoMoreHiding.
Focus on the strengths and
not the weaknesses of
people.
Make eye contact and be aware of your
body language. If someone does not
return eye contact, that's okay.
