In 2024, we want to take things to the next
level, and I'm here to share our next
challenge.
This August, we're embarking on a very
ambitious journey - a skate from Brighton
to Paris, coinciding with the start of the
Paralympic Games. Yes, you heard that
right! We're rolling from the UK to France,
and our aim is to arrive in Paris just as the
Paralympic flame is being lit. This journey,
from the 24th to the 28th of August, is not
just a physical challenge; it's a powerful
message of inclusivity, endurance and
unity.
And what makes this skate super special,
is 12 years ago, a group of Paris skaters
and wheelchair users skated all the way to
London for the 2012 Games. Once they
had arrived, it was like, "we should do
something like that over here!" And that’s
exactly how Wheels and Wheelchairs was
born.
