My name is Giuseppe Floccari,. I like to
be called Joe. Currently, I am an avid
advocate for people with disabilities. I sit
on the board of DIA, Disabled In Action,
am an assistant treasurer, and am a part
of ADAPT. I'm on the advisory
committee for the Advisory Committee
for Transit Accessibility (ACTA), an allvolunteer group of community members
committed to working with the MTA on a
range of accessibility issues.
I am also an actor, singer, and model as
well. I will be featured in New York
Fashion Week on February 10th as one
of the models for Beautifully Diverse
Fashions. So, I'm incredibly active and
pretty busy and just so happen to have a
physical disability.
I love the ability to be myself and to
bring about change. When a person with
a physical disability dares to be loud and
proud and try as hard to rage against
social norms, Fashion permits that
person who wants to be free and live life
as an individual.

Beauty means passion. It means to
drive. The ability to change not only
your physical appearance but your
emotional and spiritual state by
changing your look now and then to
me. To me, beauty isn't necessarily an
external trait. It's also an inner part of
a human being that is great and
wonderful.
