Leadership 100 Fund, and Anastasios Koularmanis,
Director of Greek Education at the Greek Orthodox
Archdiocese of America, underscored the educational
and philanthropic initiatives aimed at strengthening
Greek identity and promoting Hellenic ideals.

“Celebrating Greek Independence Day at WABC Radio,”
hosted by the Catsimatidis Family on March 25, was a
true reflection of Greek heritage and pride, bringing
together members of the Greek American community in
New York City. Attendees were immersed in the essence
of Greece, from the vibrant décor echoing the colors of
the Greek flag to the authentic sounds of traditional
Greek music that filled the air.
Welcoming remarks were provided by Eftihia Piper,
Senior Vice President of the Red Apple Group, and
Greek Consul General Ambassador Dinos Konstantinou,
setting the tone for a day of celebration and camaraderie.
As guests gathered to commemorate Greece’s journey to
independence and democracy, the roundtable discussion
delved into the significance of Greek Independence Day.
Panelists shared their insights on the historical
importance of the day and its relevance in today’s world,
highlighting the enduring spirit of resilience and
freedom that defines the Greek people.
John Catsimatidis, Chairman of Red Apple Group, and
Ernie Anastos, a distinguished television news anchor,
both members of Leadership 100, provided valuable
perspectives on the role of Greek heritage in shaping
their personal and professional lives. Philip Christopher,
known for his advocacy work for Cyprus and within the
