INTRODUCTION
In preparation for our 40th Anniversary in 2024, I had the opportunity to arrange with His
Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and our esteemed member John P. Calamos,
Sr., for the inclusion of an exhibit titled Leadership 100, 1984 to 2024, 40 Years of Philanthropic
Service, as part of the exhibit Legacy, Renewal & Unity: Celebrating 100 Years of the Greek
Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which Leadership 100 proudly funded. This will be on display
until May 2024 at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago, of which John is Chairman and I a
member of the Board of Directors.
In addition, I narrated our 40th Anniversary Video at the exhibit, which I look forward to
introducing to you at our 33rd Annual Leadership 100 Conference, February 29-March 3, 2024,
at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples in Naples, Florida.
The National Hellenic Museum has provided a Living Legacy of Hellenism for all peoples and
communities in our nation and our world.
I feel a special pride as a Greek American, born in Greece, that the Museum is in my hometown
of Chicago, where I benefited from my education and cultural and spiritual formation.
We commend His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and the National Hellenic Museum for
displaying both historic exhibits. This is a moving testimony to our Faith and Heritage together
portraying the full story of Greece and the Greeks in America.
We are pleased to present Leadership 100, 1984 to 2024, 40 Years of Philanthropic Service in
book form as a 40th Anniversary commemorative gift to you, our beloved members.
