BOARD DAY
Honoring Our Past
The Kravis Center celebrated the remarkable contributions of
retiring Board Chairs William A. Meyer and Jane M. Mitchell at
an end-of-season luncheon on April 25. Held in the Center’s
Cohen Pavilion, the event gathered Board members, Life
Trustees, and Kravis Center leadership to honor Mr. Meyer
and Ms. Mitchell as they transitioned to Life Trustees. In
recognition of their service as Board Chairs, they will now
be honored with the title of Chair Emeriti.
Diane Quinn, Kravis Center CEO, welcomed guests
and expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Mr. Meyer
and Ms. Mitchell for their many years of leadership and
service. Following her remarks, Board Chair Sherry Barrat
presented the honorees with exquisite handblown Murano
glass art pieces as a token of the Center’s appreciation for
their unwavering dedication.

Mr. Meyer, who served as Kravis Center’s second Board
Chair from 2007 to 2013, has been a cornerstone of the
organization, guiding it through periods of challenge
and growth. His additional roles as Board Vice Chair and
Secretary, combined with his significant philanthropic
contributions, underscore his deep commitment to the
Center’s mission. As Gala Chair, he has set a high standard
for future events, demonstrating his dedication to
excellence and his ability to inspire others.

Ms. Mitchell’s tenure as Board Chair from 2013 to 2016 was
marked by her strategic vision and philanthropy. Her roles
as Board Vice Chair, Treasurer, and Corporate Partners
Executive Committee Chair reflect her multifaceted
leadership. As a generous lead donor to all major
campaigns and annual
galas, her dedication has
made a lasting impact.
Notably, Ms. Mitchell’s
devotion to the Helen K.
Persson Society and the
associated Endowment
Fund, which ensures the
Kravis Center’s future
stability, will remain a
significant part of her
contributions.
