our community, the Kravis Center brings classroom curricula to life for thousands of local
students each year through the S*T*A*R Series, offering access to a diverse array of top-quality
programming. These performances provide exposure to live theater, spark classroom discussion,
enhance classroom studies and stimulate the curiosity of young minds.

Real-life family – Susanna Hamnett, Joshua MacGregor, and Lily
MacGregor – play the bereaved family of the once-great actor, Henry
Elder, who was billed to perform his career-defining solo Hamlet
at the famous Elsinore Shakespeare Festival. But, as they discover,
Henry Elder is determined not to let anything as inconvenient as
death prevent him from being there. With Shakespeare’s Hamlet as
the pivot around which the family’s story revolves, the play is by
turns absurd and poignant.

Written by Mo Willems, creator of New York Times best-selling,
“Pigeon” picture books, with music by Deborah Wicks La Puma
(Elephant & Piggie’s We Are in a Play!), Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive
the Bus! The Musical! is more fun than staying up late and having a
hot dog party! It’s not easy being the Pigeon, you never get to do
ANYTHING! But when the Bus Driver has a crisis, maybe that wily
bird CAN do something.
FUSHU DAIKO

Founded in 1990, Fushu Daiko is a South Florida based taiko drumming
ensemble that has thrilled audiences of all ages through dynamic
performances, concerts and workshops. They have performed throughout
the state and world, sharing their mission to engage, educate and enrich
the community. Through a blend of traditional and contemporary taiko
compositions, this incredible production exhilarates audiences. Their
exciting performances integrate the resounding rhythms of taiko drums
with dance and other traditional Japanese instruments.
