KRAVIS CENTER DREAM AWARDS:
CELEBRATING HIGH SCHOOL
MUSICAL THEATER EXCELLENCE
Sunday, June 1 at 7pm in Dreyfoos Hall
This program, open to all schools in Palm Beach
County, will recognize outstanding student
achievement in musical theater productions and
culminate in a showcase featured in Dreyfoos Hall
at the Kravis Center. Two students who perform in
this showcase will be nominated to participate in
The Jimmy Awards® (National High School Musical
Theatre Awards™) in New York City. Schools must
choose from an approved list of productions in order
to be considered.

In partnership with the Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach
County, the School District of Palm Beach County and
the Palm Beach County Music Teachers Association
Nearly 40,000 students have performed in Dreyfoos
Hall. The eagerly anticipated annual event not only
showcases emerging talent but also promotes the
excellent music programs within area schools.

STUDENT AND EDUCATOR RUSH
TICKET PROGRAM
Cast members from Broadway tours lead a variety of
hands-on, participatory workshops for high school
and college students.
KRAVIS STUDENT THEATER CRITICS
By presenting their student or educator ID at the box
office one hour prior to curtain time, students and
educators receive 50 percent off any section ticket
(excluding Premium Seating) from orchestra to rear
balcony, based on availability, for any Kravis Center
self-initiated performance.
WORKSHOPS AND MASTER CLASSES
Nominated high school students represent their
school as Kravis Student Theater Critics for selected
Kravis On Broadway Series presentations. The
students receive workshop training to prepare them
to write theater reviews and have the opportunity
to meet with and hear from our local theater critics.
Each student will receive a complimentary press
ticket for the opening night performance of a
designated Kravis On Broadway show and will then
submit a review for publication in his or her school
newspaper.
Visiting artists leading a master class at your school
may choose to lecture, provide demonstrations, field a
question-and-answer session, lead a rehearsal or any
combination of methods aimed at humanizing the
artist and the art form.
