Welcome
WELCOME
I’m thrilled to welcome you to our 2024-2025 season as we explore the
significance of community, identity and belonging in everything that we
do. We have carefully curated our offerings to support B.E.S.T Standards
and Skills for Learning & Life (SLL). Your curricular and instructional needs
are the basis of our programming decisions, and we are committed to
supporting your work.
This season, beginning with our August 24th Teacher On-Sale date, we’re
making the S*T*A*R Series ordering process more accessible to all teachers.
You’ll have the ability to submit your ticket order request with your first,
second and third choices on our website beginning at 11am and orders
will be processed in order of receipt by Kravis Center Box Office staff the following week. Ticket
confirmations will then be emailed directly to teachers so that student transportation arrangements
can be made with the school bookkeeper in a timely manner.
We’re launching a new program serving all School District of Palm Beach County 5th graders called
Curtain Up for 5th Grade! Ticketing for this new series will be facilitated by school district personnel.
We’re delighted to collaborate with the District to provide seven culturally enriching performances in
our Dreyfoos Hall for 15,000 students and their teachers.
As in past seasons, we’re bringing you the very best in Theatre for Young Audiences from across the
globe and right here at home. We’ll feature Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia’s innovative blacklight
adaptation of Goodnight Moon & The Runaway Bunny; Tall Stories Theatre Company of London’s
enchanting The Gruffalo's Child featuring storytelling, humor and catchy original music; and Tutti
Frutti of Leed’s reimagining of Peter Pan as told by Wendy Darling in Underneath a Magical Moon.
The Palm Beach County-based StoryMakers Theater Company will return with Virtue Reality, inviting
students to spin the “wheel of virtue” to choose their own life-lesson adventure; and Westward,
Go!, exploring our country’s arduous and thrilling Westward Expansion with such figures as Thomas
Jefferson, Sally Hemings, Lewis and Clark, Sacajawea and Johnny Appleseed. From our nation’s
capital, we’re presenting the Kennedy Center Theatre for Young Audiences on Tour/Theater Alliance’s
poignant adaptation of Jason Reynolds’ book Look Both Ways: A Tale Told in Ten Blocks.
And remember, the Kravis Center is YOUR home for the performing arts, and we look forward to
welcoming you to the theater!
Warmly,
Tracy C. Butler
Director of Education
